Amplitude Building a State-of-the-art XUV Source at LASE
Amplitude has been contracted by the Technical University of Kaiserslautern, providing a state-of-the-art XUV source for their Laboratory of Advanced Spin Engineering (LASE). This new infrastructure will bring together researchers from different scientific disciplines to advance today’s understanding of fundamental and functional spin phenomena in matter and to bridge the gap between fundamental and application oriented research.
Our light source will be specifically designed for time and angle resolved photoemission spectroscopy (TR-ARPES) and time-resolved X-ray absorption spectroscopy (TR-XAS).
Our advanced pump-probe setup will be powered by the Tangor 100, our leading industrial femtosecond laser. It performs by generating high flux of XUV photons at a very high repetition rate. The improved yield will significantly shorten the acquisition time and enhance signal to noise ratio compare to previous generation of instruments.
Professor Martin Aeschlimann & Professor Benjamin Stadtmueller from the Technical University of Kaiserslautern will use our innovative laser source to shine new light into the fundamental dynamics of spins, charges and atoms in real time and thereby will contribute to comprehensive understanding of the fundamental interactions in various condensed matter systems, ranging from ferromagnetic thin films, molecular hybrid systems or topological quantum materials.
