Amplitude Laser Group Signs Agreement with Lumibird for the Sale of its Nanosecond Laser Product Line in the U.S.

France, October 22, 2024 – Amplitude Laser Group has announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement with Lumibird for the sale of its nanosecond laser product line under the Continuum brand, along with its associated service business. 

The sale aligns with Amplitude Laser Group’s strategy to concentrate on its core strengths in femtosecond and high-energy advanced laser solutions, and is expected to be completed in the next few weeks. 

According to Damien Buet, Chairman & CEO of Amplitude Laser Group, “ This transaction allows Amplitude to concentrate its development efforts on ultra-fast and high-energy lasers in both the American and global markets, enhancing its strategic flexibility. Our subsidiary, Amplitude Laser Inc., will now be entirely dedicated to our key growth initiatives. I would like to thank the Continuum teams for their contributions to the Group over the years. Lumibird’s acquisition will accelerate the development of the Continuum range and provide our customers with an enhanced offering in the field of solid-state nanosecond lasers. Amplitude will work closely with Lumibird to ensure a smooth transition for all stakeholders.”
