With Amplitude you have access to the largest portfolio of lasers for spectroscopy applications. From high energy nanosecond lasers for combustion physics to high intensity few cycle pulses for attoscience, Amplitude is your stop shop for state-of-the-art lasers.
Ultrafast spectroscopy
Ultrafast spectroscopies encompass a large variety of methods and techniques that tackle specific scientific challenges. The leitmotiv of all those applications: the necessity to rely on a high-performance and reliable ultrafast laser.
ARCO product line sublimates Ti:Sapphire laser technology and offers ideal specifications for ultrafast spectroscopy applications: high-energy per pulse, ultrashort pulse durations and repetition rate scaling up to 10 kHz. Additionally, PALITRA extends the wavelength coverage from UV to mid-IR.
MAGMA is a directly diode pumped Ytterbium ultrafast laser offering unmatched energy and short pulse duration with a unique repetition rate, flexibility and scalability.
SATSUMA, TANGERINE, and TANGOR lasers allow to increase the repetition rate to multi-hundreds of kHz or MHz to lower the acquisition time and improve the S/N ratio. Those industry-preferred laser platforms offer unmatched robustness, uptime and ease of use.
MANGO is a fully automated tunable optical parametric amplifier compatible with our high repetition rate laser product range. It provides all possible wavelengths from deep UV up to mid-IR with pulse duration down to 50 fs for selective excitation or probing.
COMPRESS is the first industrial nonlinear compression module available on the market. It allows temporal compression of up to 50 times to reach the few cycles regime for the most duration resolution demanding applications.
Combustion and Particule Imaging Velocimetry
Studying combustion processes requires special laser illuminators. The plasma interactions are complex and generally somewhat opaque. High pulse energies, high rep rates, and good beam quality are required for this application.
Perpetuating Continuum’s exceptional laser legacy, Amplitude makes lasers from simple two pulse PIV lasers based on the MINILITE and SURELITE up to the new high energy BURSTLITE laser system. The BURSTLITE laser system deliver millisecond pulse bust envelopes with internal pulse rates up to 1 MHz in the burst or more than a joule at 10kHz rates.
High order harmonic generation and Attoscience
As global leader in ultrafast laser for industrial, medical and scientific applications, Amplitude Laser Group now offers a versatile VUV/XUV and soft-Xray laser-based light source. This novel complete solution is compatible with the broadest ultrafast laser portfolio commercially available, offering high pulse energy or state-of-the-art photon flux at high repetition rates. Over the past two decades Amplitude has been instrumental in providing state of the art laser sources for high harmonic generation and attoscience sources around the globe. ARCO high energy Ti:Saphire amplifier with (optional) CEP stabilization and repetition rate scaling up to 10 kHz is the workhorse in numerous laboratories and research institutions. Its unique performances set it aside and help scientists study new ultrafast dynamics phenomena at unprecedented short time scales. TANGERINE, TANGOR and TANGOR 300 industry-preferred high power ultrafast lasers are at the heart of the current repetition rate scaling of HHG source. With the COMPRESS industrial nonlinear compression module, Amplitude achieves ultimate performances with up to several mJ pulse energy, down to few cycles pulse duration at MHz repetition rates. Amplitude now offers a turn-key VUV & XUV source for complete integration into scientific experiments or for industrial applications.
Optical parametric amplifier pumping
Amplitude provides the most diversified laser family for optical (chirped pulse) parametric amplifiers. ELITE, INTREPID and PREMIUMLITE offers best in class energy per pulse, beam quality, repetition rate and temporal shaping capability and are ideal pump lasers for OPCPA up to multi-PW peak intensities. MAGMA, TANGERINE, TANGOR and TANGOR 300 industrial Ytterbium lasers perfectly match O(PC)PA needs at higher repetition rates up to the MHz, with pulse duration ranging from 150 to 1.5 ps and energy from hundreds of µJ to hundreds of mJ.
THz source and spectroscopy
THz sources are emerging as very important tools for many emerging applications such as electron streaking, acceleration and temporal compression to time-resolved spectroscopy studies. Our high energy lasers MAGMA and ARCO can generate very intense THz fields while SATSUMA, TANGERINE and TANGOR operates at very high repetition rate and offers interesting compromises between filed strength and data collection speed for high throughput spectroscopy studies.
